Chapter 6 - The Traitor's Fall

Victor hyperventilated, the sweat pouring down his face. He realized the guards weren't going to follow his orders. He was entirely cornered in the grand foyer.

Desperate to escape, Victor violently raised his weapon, aiming it directly at Marco's chest to finish the job the poison started.

But Marco moved with explosive, blinding, cinematic speed.

Before Victor could even pull the trigger, Marco aggressively stepped forward, grabbing the heavy marble vase resting on the nearby pedestal. He violently smashed it directly across Victor’s skull.

The Security Chief collapsed instantly, his weapon clattering uselessly across the polished marble floor. His arrogant, toxic reign of greed and betrayal was over in a fraction of a second.

The other guards immediately swarmed Victor, zip-tying the unconscious traitor and dragging him away from the foyer. He was going to face the absolute, brutal, and agonizing justice of the criminal underworld in the basement.

The mansion fell into a profound, heavy, and incredibly peaceful silence.

Marco stood in the center of the foyer in his white dress shirt. He was breathing heavily, his hands completely steady. He had just survived an assassination attempt, and his empire was completely secure.
