Chapter 7 - The Apex Predator

Before Marcus could even fully depress the trigger, Damian moved with blinding, terrifying cinematic speed.
He didn't draw a weapon. He didn't have to. Damian lunged forward, his massive hand shooting out and wrapping around the steel barrel of the pistol. With a brutal, bone-crushing twist, he forced the gun upward, snapping Marcus’s wrist with a sickening crack.
Marcus screamed in agony, his fingers releasing the weapon.
Damian didn't stop. He drove his knee viciously into Marcus’s abdomen, folding the tall security guard in half. As Marcus gasped for air, Damian grabbed him by the throat and slammed him backward into the polished mahogany doors with enough force to splinter the wood.
The gun clattered harmlessly onto the floor.
Damian pinned the traitor against the door, his heavily tattooed forearm pressing directly against Marcus’s windpipe. The mafia boss's face was inches from the bodyguard, his eyes burning with an apocalyptic, unfiltered rage.
"You pointed a gun at a child in my house," Damian whispered, his voice a demonic vibration that chilled everyone in the room to the bone.

Marcus gagged, clawing desperately at Damian’s arm, his feet dangling slightly off the floor as the air was entirely cut off from his lungs.
👉 Marcus was completely defeated, but the arrogant traitor was about to make one last, desperate attempt to deny his guilt.
