Chapter 1 - The Billionaire's Vow

The grand luxury gala ballroom was suffocatingly tense. Beneath the glowing crystal chandeliers and elegant decor, hundreds of wealthy men and women in formal wear stood completely frozen, watching the spectacle unfolding in the center of the room.
Leo, a six-year-old boy with messy brown hair, wearing a tailored black suit, crisp white shirt, and black tie, was having a massive panic attack. He was sobbing uncontrollably, his tiny shoulders shaking as he hid his face in his hands.
Standing right beside him was his father, Victor. He was a terrifyingly handsome, muscular man in his late thirties with short dark hair. Dark, intricate tattoos crawled up his neck and across his chest, fully visible because he wore a sleek black suit jacket with absolutely no shirt underneath. He was the most powerful, ruthless billionaire in the city, but right now, his corporate authority meant nothing. He couldn't calm his own child.
Victor gripped a heavy crystal glass of whiskey, the knuckles on his scarred hand turning pure white. The warm lighting of the ballroom cast harsh shadows across his sharp jawline as his frustration and desperation reached a boiling point. He had hired the best doctors and therapists, but since Leo’s mother supposedly died, the boy had suffered from paralyzing night terrors and anxiety.
Victor slammed his whiskey glass onto a silver tray held by a terrified waiter. He turned to the crowd of elite guests, his voice booming with absolute, intimidating authority.
"I'll marry the woman who can make my son stop crying!" Victor declared, his voice echoing off the marble walls.
The room went dead silent. The women in the room exchanged wide-eyed glances. Becoming Victor’s wife meant inheriting an empire.
