Chapter 10 - The True Family

Rosa swallowed hard, looking down at the marble floor. “I was just doing my job, Mr. Falcone.”

“Your job as a maid ended the second you stood by my side in that room,” Dante stated firmly, leaving absolutely no room for argument.

He reached into his pocket and placed a heavy, solid black titanium keycard into Rosa’s trembling hand.

“You didn't just protect your daughter, Rosa. You protected my entire empire,” Dante vowed, the absolute power of his massive wealth backing every syllable. “I am elevating you to the Director of Estate Operations. I am quadrupling your salary, providing a massive private suite in the master wing, and setting up a fully funded trust for Sophia's future. You will have full authority over this household. You are no longer the hired help. You are family.”

Tears of pure, unadulterated relief and joy spilled down Rosa’s cheeks.

She hadn't just saved a mafia boss from an assassination; she had secured a beautiful, untouchable future for her child that she never could have dreamed possible.

Dante reached out, gently taking Sophia's tiny hand in his, and the three of them walked down the grand marble corridor together.

If you were Rosa, would you have handed Victoria over to the police, or was completely bankrupting her powerful family the ultimate, perfect revenge?
