Chapter 7 - The Financial Guillotine

“You tried to poison me in my own home,” Dante whispered, his deep voice carrying the weight of absolute doom. “And you tried to blame an innocent mother to cover your tracks.”
“Dante, I beg of you!” Victoria wailed, clawing desperately at the polished floor. “I was confused! I love you! I can make it up to you!”
Dante didn't pull his weapon. A quick bullet in the sitting room was far too generous for a monster who preyed on loyalty.
He pulled his encrypted smartphone from his black suit jacket. He dialed his Chief Financial Officer, putting the call on speaker so Victoria could hear every single devastating syllable.
“Initiate the hostile takeover of Victoria’s father’s real estate firm,” Dante ordered coldly, his dark eyes locked entirely on the weeping woman.
“No! Please! My family has nothing to do with this!” Victoria shrieked, her hands flying to her head in sheer panic.
“Liquidate their stock,” Dante continued ruthlessly, completely ignoring her. “Call in every single one of their corporate debts. Freeze their supply chains. I want her family completely bankrupt, destitute, and stripped of every asset they own by the time the market opens tomorrow morning.”
“Understood, Boss,” the CFO replied. “The transfer is complete.”
Victoria physically sagged against the marble floor, her entire toxic existence turning to ash. She had just cost her family their billionaire legacy. They were permanently, completely ruined.
Dante looked down at Marcus, who was groaning on the floor.

“Take him to the basement,” Dante ordered the massive security guards waiting in the hallway. “And call the Russian syndicate. Let them know Marcus just inherited a massive debt. Let the wolves handle the thief.”
👉 Victoria was completely broken, but the ultimate, public humiliation of her life was just beginning.
