Chapter 9 - The Perfect Morning

The bright, beautiful Christmas morning sun illuminated the master suite.

Lily woke up in the massive, incredibly soft bed. She wasn't cold. She wasn't hungry. She crawled out of bed and ran into the living room of the private suite.

Gabriel was sitting on the floor by the Christmas tree, wearing sweatpants and a simple t-shirt, completely devoid of his terrifying mafia persona. Underneath the tree were dozens of beautifully wrapped presents.

Lily gasped, her eyes widening in pure, unfiltered joy.

Gabriel spent the entire morning sitting on the floor, helping his daughter tear open boxes of toys, dolls, and beautiful new clothes. Olivia sat on the sofa, drinking a cup of hot coffee, watching the man she loved laugh genuinely for the first time in four years.

Gabriel completely transformed. He didn't rule his empire with ruthless cruelty. He transitioned massive portions of his syndicate into legitimate corporate holdings, ensuring absolutely no one would ever have a reason to cross his family again.

He completely restructured the catering agency he had seized from Margaret, heavily increasing the wages for all the single mothers and providing full healthcare benefits, ensuring no woman would ever be exploited in his city again.

Margaret was permanently blacklisted, facing heavy fraud charges that completely bankrupted her toxic family.

Olivia and Lily never had to struggle again.
