Chapter 3 - The Ambulance Call
Valerie looked at the three wealthy monsters standing over her injured child.
For her entire life, she had played the role of the quiet, submissive younger sister. She had let Brenda and Chloe walk all over her, strictly to keep the peace for her aging parents.
But as Toby whimpered in agony against her white blouse, the peace treaty officially expired.
Brenda leaned in closer, her eyes flashing with entitled rage. "Don't make a big deal out of this, Valerie. Put some ice on it. If you embarrass this family today, you are completely cut off."
Valerie violently ripped her wrist out of her father's grip. Her eyes hardened with a chilling, absolute authority that made the older man physically stagger backward.
She lifted her phone and hit send.
"Send an ambulance to the Montgomery Estate," Valerie spoke coldly and clearly into the phone. "My seven-year-old son has a severe spiral fracture in his arm. He was violently assaulted by an adult."
Chloe’s jaw literally dropped. The arrogant smirk violently vanished from her face.
"Are you insane?!" Brenda shrieked hysterically, lunging forward to snatch the phone.
Valerie stood up with blinding speed, shoving her older sister backward so hard Brenda stumbled in her red dress and nearly fell over the dining table.

"Do not touch me," Valerie whispered, her voice a lethal, freezing frequency that completely paralyzed the room. "And do not take another step toward my son."
