Chapter 9 - The Ultimate Punishment

Dante forcefully dragged his broken, weeping brother by the collar out into the grand marble corridor.
Within minutes, the entire estate was swarming with Dante’s most loyal, heavily armed enforcers. They stared in absolute shock as their Boss threw the bleeding Underboss onto the marble floor.
"This piece of garbage faked my wife's death," Dante announced to his syndicate, his voice echoing with absolute, unquestionable authority. "He locked her in a wall to steal my throne."
The men drew their weapons, pointing them down at Marco with pure disgust. In their world, betraying the family was a death sentence. But torturing the Boss's innocent wife was a crime beyond forgiveness.
"Dante, please!" Marco sobbed hysterically, completely abandoning his pride. "I'm your brother! Have mercy!"
"You lost the right to call me brother eighteen months ago," Dante stated clinically.
Dante pulled out his encrypted phone. "Seize all of his offshore accounts. Liquidate every property in his name."
He looked down at the pathetic traitor. "And call the Russians. Tell them the man who ordered the hit on their lieutenant last year is sitting in my foyer, waiting for pickup."
