Chapter 1 - The Different Medicine

The grand hallway of the luxury mansion was a breathtaking display of untouchable wealth. Bright, warm sunlight streamed through the towering glass windows, reflecting beautifully off the polished marble floors and the heavy, ornate marble console table. But the elegant, peaceful morning was about to be violently shattered by a single, innocent observation.

Sophia, a brilliant six-year-old girl with curly dark hair and a beautiful blue dress, stood on her tiptoes. She pointed a tiny finger directly at the amber prescription medicine bottle resting on the marble table.

"That medicine looks different today," Sophia stated, her clear voice echoing across the silent hallway.

Damian, a terrifyingly powerful billionaire in his forties wearing a sharp black suit, immediately froze. He leaned in closely, unscrewing the childproof cap. He poured a single pill into his palm. It wasn't the usual glossy blue capsule. It was a chalky, jagged white tablet.

Standing in the background, Alina, a thirty-something brunette woman in a crisp black and white maid uniform, began to tremble violently.

Marcus, Damian’s elite security director in a dark suit, stepped forward from the shadows. He held up his encrypted smartphone, looking intensely alarmed.

"The pharmacy delivery for the real medication was signed for three days ago," Marcus announced, his voice dropping to a freezing, lethal frequency.

Marcus slowly turned his head, looking directly at the terrified maid. "By her."
