Chapter 3 - The Security Footage

The heavy, suffocating silence in the hallway was absolutely deafening.
Damian pulled a sleek, encrypted tablet from the inside pocket of his sharp black suit. He didn't need to call the pharmacy to know the maid was lying. His entire multi-million-dollar estate was rigged with hidden, military-grade surveillance cameras that fed directly into his personal cloud server.
"You signed for the package three days ago," Damian stated clinically, tapping the screen with flawless precision.
He turned the tablet around, forcing Alina to watch the high-definition video playing on the screen. The footage clearly showed the delivery driver handing Alina a sealed, insulated medical box at the service entrance.
But Alina didn't take the box to the master suite.
The video tracked her walking directly into the dark, secluded basement incinerator room. The camera angle perfectly captured her opening the package, removing the life-saving blue capsules, and aggressively dumping them straight down the drain. She then pulled a cheap plastic bag from her apron, filling the empty amber prescription bottle with the chalky, jagged white pills.
Alina physically stopped breathing. All the color violently drained from her powdered face, leaving her looking like a terrified ghost.

"You didn't just hide her medicine," Damian whispered coldly, his jaw clenching so tightly his teeth ached. "You replaced it."
👉 Damian’s blood ran ice-cold as he realized exactly what those chalky white pills had been doing to his wife.
