Chapter 7 - The Interrogation
The woman shook her head violently, tears of pure terror ruining her heavy makeup.
"I can't tell you!" she wailed pathetically. "He'll kill me!"
"If you don't tell me," Vincent replied quietly, his voice a low, terrifying rumble, "you won't live long enough to worry about him."
The woman looked at the eight heavily armed men surrounding her. She realized she was standing in the middle of a massive, lethal underworld war, and she had just threatened a girl who was under the protection of the apex predator.
"He... he's at the old warehouse on 5th Street!" she sobbed hysterically, completely selling out her boss. "He's counting the cash from today! Please, just let me go!"
Vincent didn't even look at her anymore.
"Put her in the trunk," Vincent ordered his men smoothly. "And get these kids into the SUVs. Give them whatever they want to eat, and call the private medical team to my estate."
The enforcers moved with explosive speed. They violently hauled the weeping, screaming woman into the back of an armored vehicle, ending her reign of psychological cruelty and abuse forever.
Vincent walked back over to Lily, who was still standing in the grass, completely stunned.
