Chapter 7 - The Midnight Ambush

Exactly at midnight, the heavy metal doors of the service elevator slid open with a quiet hum.
Marco stepped into the dark penthouse. He was a tall, heavily muscled man wearing a dark tactical jacket, carrying a suppressed pistol. He expected to find a terrified, submissive maid waiting with millions of dollars in stolen digital access codes.
He walked quietly toward the kitchen, his weapon raised.
Suddenly, the massive overhead lights violently flicked on, blinding him for a fraction of a second.
Marco completely froze. Sitting casually at the marble kitchen island was Alessandro. The mafia boss wasn't holding a gun. He was drinking a glass of expensive whiskey, his navy blue suit perfectly tailored, looking at his lieutenant with pure, unfiltered disgust.
"Looking for the maid, Marco?" Alessandro asked smoothly, his voice echoing perfectly across the dead-silent kitchen.
Marco’s face turned violently pale. He instantly realized the massive, apocalyptic trap he had walked into. He panicked, aggressively raising his suppressed pistol directly toward the boss.

👉 Marco dropped his weapon, entirely unaware of the absolute nightmare the boss had prepared for him.
