Chapter 6 - The Hidden Theft
The cinematic tension in the foyer completely shattered into pure, unadulterated chaos.
"She caught you, didn't she?" the Boss asked, his voice dropping into a demonic, terrifying register. "She was cleaning the master study this morning. She caught you trying to crack the wall safe. You panicked. You hit her, and you threatened to kill her daughter if she told me."
Leo realized his entire assassination and robbery plot had just been completely annihilated. He had been planning to steal the massive diamond shipment from the safe and flee the country by midnight.
Cornered and desperate, Leo aggressively reached inside his suit jacket, desperately trying to pull his heavy, suppressed handgun to shoot his way out of the mansion.
But the Boss moved with explosive, blinding, cinematic speed.
Before Leo could even clear the holster, the Boss violently swept his leg out, kicking the massive enforcer's knee backward with a sickening crunch. Leo shrieked in agony, dropping heavily to the polished marble floor.
The Boss didn't hesitate. He grabbed the terrified enforcer by his expensive tie, dragging his face directly down to the marble tile, right next to where Maya was sitting.
