Chapter 9 - The Ultimate Humiliation

"You didn't just forge a letter and threaten the woman I love," Dante explained smoothly, his dark eyes entirely devoid of human mercy. "You have been systematically skimming twenty percent of the family's laundering operations for seven years. You stole millions to build your own pathetic, fragile little empire."
Silas dropped to his knees on the polished marble floor. His expensive gray suit was instantly ruined by the puddle of spilled whiskey and broken glass. He completely humiliated himself in front of his own men, abandoning every ounce of his pride.
"I'll give it all back!" Silas sobbed frantically, crawling toward Dante's shoes. "Every single cent! Just let me leave the city! I swear on my life, you will never see me again! Have mercy, Dante!"
Dante looked down at the weeping, pathetic traitor.
"You put a gun to the head of a pregnant woman," Dante whispered softly, leaning down slightly so his voice carried a terrifying, untouchable power. "You threw my six-year-old daughter into a blizzard to freeze to death. There is no mercy for monsters."
Dante calmly raised two fingers in the air.
Rocco and three massive, heavily armed enforcers stepped forward out of the shadows. They didn't treat Silas like a respected underboss. They treated him like a rabid, dangerous animal that needed to be permanently put down.
"Strip his accounts," Dante commanded flawlessly. "Transfer every single stolen asset into a private trust for my daughter. And then, take him to the basement."

Silas let out a horrific, apocalyptic shriek of pure, unadulterated terror as the massive guards violently grabbed his arms and hauled him to his feet. Handing him over to Rocco in the basement meant Silas was going to face a slow, agonizing brand of underworld justice that he would never survive.
👉 Dante turned his back on the screaming traitor, walking away to completely reclaim his stolen life.
