Chapter 10 - The Empire Rebuilt

Anna looked down at the powerful billionaire weeping at her feet. The absolute vulnerability in his eyes erased three years of terrifying isolation.
She took a shaky breath, tears falling freely. She gently lowered their son to the floor.
"Go say hi to your Daddy, Leo," Anna whispered softly, a beautiful, genuine smile finally touching her lips.
The little boy waddled forward. Vincent held his breath as the child wrapped his small arms tightly around his neck. Vincent buried his face in his son's shoulder, sobbing openly, the heavy, agonizing weight of his grief washing away forever.
Anna knelt down beside them, wrapping her arms around both of her boys, finally, truly safe.
In the weeks that followed, Sophia was handed over to the rival cartel she had tried to frame, her stolen wealth and arrogant status completely stripped away. She was never seen in high society again.
Vincent completely purged his inner circle, destroying anyone who had been loyal to Sophia. He moved Anna and Leo into a sprawling, heavily guarded fortress outside the city, ensuring nobody could ever threaten them again. He stepped back from the violent frontlines of his empire, dedicating his life to teaching his son and loving his wife.

A year later, Vincent and Anna stood on the balcony of their estate, watching Leo run through the gardens. Vincent pulled Anna close, kissing her forehead. The nightmare was over, and the mafia boss had finally realized that the greatest power he held wasn't his criminal empire, but the fierce, unshakeable family he had brought back from the dead.
Do you think handing Sophia over to the cartel was justice, or did the cruel first love deserve to face the police instead?
