Chapter 10 - The True Queen

The chaotic, frantic energy completely evaporated from the freezing courtyard.
Rico holstered his weapon. He let out a long, shuddering breath, the absolute nightmare finally coming to a permanent end. He walked over to the snowbank where Clara was still kneeling, clutching their terrified son.
Rico ignored his tailored suit and dropped to both knees in the cold snow right in front of them.
"Isabella," Rico whispered, his voice thick with genuine, overwhelming emotion.
Clara—Isabella—looked up at the man she had loved for years. She didn't hesitate. She threw her free arm around his neck, pulling him into a fierce, desperate, unbreakable embrace.
"You found me," Isabella wept softly, burying her face into his shoulder. "I was so lost, Rico. But you found me."
"I will always find you," Rico promised, holding her and Leo incredibly tight. "I am never letting you go again."
Leo, finally feeling completely safe, wrapped his tiny arms around his father's neck, sandwiching himself perfectly between his true parents.
In the months that followed, Silvia and Dante completely vanished into the brutal underground, facing the violent consequences of their treason. Rico completely purged his syndicate of any corrupt members, reinforcing his empire to ensure his family would never be touched again.
Isabella didn't have to wear a waitress uniform ever again. She fully reclaimed her life, her memories, and her rightful place as the queen of the estate.
A year later, the upscale Brooklyn restaurant was rented out entirely for a private, joyous celebration. Rico sat at the VIP table, smiling warmly as Isabella and a happy, talkative Leo blew out the candles on a massive birthday cake.

The nightmare was completely over, and the ruthless mafia boss finally realized that the greatest power he possessed wasn't his empire—it was the unbreakable bond of his family.
Do you think handing Silvia over to the rival cartel was enough justice, or did the cruel fiancée deserve a harsher punishment directly from Rico?
