Chapter 9 - The Confession in Blood

The traitor gagged, his face turning purple as Damien crushed his airway. He frantically clawed at the mafia boss’s massive, tattooed arm, but Damien’s grip was absolute iron.
"Who?" Damien demanded, relaxing the pressure just a millimeter so the rat could speak.
"The... the Rossi family!" the guard choked out, blood spilling from his split lip. "They paid me two million! They said if your heirs were dead, your syndicate would fracture from the grief! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
Damien’s eyes went completely dead. He didn't scream. He didn't rage. He simply absorbed the information with the cold, calculated precision of a warlord preparing for a massacre. The Rossi family had just signed their own extinction papers.
"You're not sorry," Damien whispered softly, looking into the traitor's terrified eyes. "You're just caught."
Damien didn't draw a gun. He looked at his loyal men standing by.
"Take him to the basement of the warehouse," Damien ordered, his voice echoing with chilling cinematic realism. "Keep him awake. I'll deal with him after I put my sons to sleep."
