Chapter 8 - The Execution

Dr. Vance prepared to fire.
He never even got the chance to pull the trigger.
With blinding, lethal speed, Caleb didn't try to stand up and rush him. Instead, Caleb swept his hand across the concrete floor, grabbing the heavy handgun he had dropped when he embraced Elena.
In one fluid, flawless motion, Caleb raised the weapon and fired a single shot.
The bullet shattered Dr. Vance’s kneecap.
The arrogant doctor let out a horrific, high-pitched shriek of pure agony, his suppressed pistol clattering uselessly to the floor as he violently collapsed onto the hard concrete.
Caleb slowly stood up. He walked over to the screaming, thrashing traitor. The cinematic realism of Caleb’s absolute control was far more terrifying than the gunshot.
"You told me I would never walk again, Aris," Caleb growled softly, looking down at the weeping man. "Now we're going to see how well you handle a wheelchair."
Caleb didn't kill him. A quick bullet was far too generous for the monster who had stolen two years of his life and tortured his fiancée.
Caleb reached down and picked up the syringe filled with the heavy paralytic neurotoxin from the silver tray.
"No! Caleb, please!" Dr. Vance wailed hysterically, completely abandoning his sophisticated persona as the realization of his fate crashed down on him. "I'll give the money back! I'll fix it!"
"You're going to be a statue, Aris," Caleb whispered, entirely devoid of mercy. "And statues don't speak."

Caleb ruthlessly plunged the syringe directly into the doctor’s neck, emptying the entire vial of paralytic venom into his bloodstream.
👉 The traitor was permanently silenced, leaving Caleb to execute the final, perfect cleanup of his empire.
