Lorraine cooperated first.
Not because she regretted anything.
Because Walter blamed her.
His attorney argued she drugged Emily without his knowledge.
Lorraine learned through the charging documents.
She requested a deal immediately.
Her statement described decades of control.
Walter ran the company.
Corey obeyed.
Lorraine managed appearances.
She called herself a peacemaker.
The recordings showed something else.
She encouraged the punch.
She prepared the drink.
She drafted the medical authorization.
She researched emergency guardianship.
When Detective Cole asked why, she said:
“Walter said the company would collapse under outsiders.”
Emily was not an outsider.
She was Corey’s wife.
Mother of the heir.
Lorraine answered:
“She was never one of us.”
That sentence revealed the real boundary.
Family meant obedience.
Marriage did not create belonging.
Pregnancy did not.
Only submission.
Lorraine agreed to testify.
