Chapter 4 - The Trojan Horse

The horrific, cinematic realization of Camilla’s betrayal hit me with the kinetic force of a freight train. The woman standing over my bed had orchestrated my brutal beating just out of sheer, toxic jealousy.

"You're a monster," I choked out, tears of pain blurring my good eye.

"I'm a survivor," Camilla laughed coldly. "And once the cartel cracks the encryption on your little laptop, they will drain Dante's entire syndicate. He will be forced to marry me to save his empire, and you will be thrown in the trash."

I stared at her. The intense, agonizing pain in my body suddenly evaporated, violently replaced by a cold, absolute clarity.

For three years, I hadn't just poured Dante's coffee. I managed his logistics. I knew every single threat, every shadow, and every leak in the organization.

I didn't cry. I looked up at the arrogant fiancée, and a slow, chilling smile touched my bruised lips.

"You shouldn't have told them to take the laptop, Camilla," I whispered softly.

Camilla frowned, lethal confusion breaking through her arrogance. "What are you talking about?"

"I knew there was a mole in the house for six months," I explained, my voice completely steady. "I knew someone was leaking Dante's routes. So, I built a trap. That laptop they stole from me in the alley? It doesn't contain the syndicate's bank accounts."

All the color began to slowly drain from Camilla’s perfectly contoured face.

"It contains a highly aggressive, military-grade Trojan virus," I continued coldly. "The second they try to bypass the encryption, it will completely infect their entire mainframe, drain their offshore accounts into Dante's trust, and broadcast their exact GPS coordinates directly to Dante's security team."

👉 Camilla realized her flawless plan was a catastrophic failure, and her desperate panic was about to turn violent.
