Chapter 2 - The Black Disc

Leah didn't scream, but her face drained of all color. She raised a trembling finger and pointed directly at the baby's chest, right over the soft white sweater.
Vincent’s exhaustion vanished instantly. He reached under the blanket, his large fingers brushing against something hard and metallic that had been slipped inside the folds of the baby's clothing.
He pulled it out and held it up to the bright cabin light.
It was a tiny, mysterious black disc. A high-tech, military-grade tracking and audio-recording device.
Vincent’s exhausted expression instantly hardened into pure, lethal recognition. His dark eyes turned to ice. He was the most heavily guarded man in the city, and someone had bypassed his entire security detail to plant a bug on his infant son.
"Lock the cabin," Vincent commanded, his voice a cold, echoing rumble.
The guards in the background instantly sprang into action. The heavy doors to the cockpit and the main cabin were bolted shut. The aisles were secured. Nobody was getting on, and nobody was getting off.
"Who touched my son before we boarded?" Vincent asked, his voice dropping to a dangerous, low whisper that made the guards flinch.
Leah stared at the black disc in Vincent's hand. Her stomach violently twisted with a terrifying realization. The tears she had been fighting back for three weeks finally welled in her eyes.
She looked from the black device up to Vincent's intense, dangerous eyes.
