Chapter 9 - The Public Arrest

Agnes screamed and cried hysterically as she was completely stripped of her fake wealth, her arrogant pride, and her freedom.

"Get your filthy hands off me!" Agnes shrieked, her green velvet coat tangling around her legs as she desperately tried to fight the police officers. "I am the owner of this estate! I will sue all of you! You can't do this to me!"

The officers didn't care about her money or her pathetic threats. They forcefully dragged the weeping, humiliated woman backward across the freezing snow, completely exposing her to the vicious, freezing wind.

She was forcefully dragged out of the luxury courtyard and shoved into the back of a freezing police cruiser, her high-society life permanently erased in a single morning.

The chaotic, toxic energy was entirely dragged out of the courtyard, plunging the estate back into a profound, heavy peace.

Greg completely ignored the police cruiser speeding away. He dropped his thick envelope of cash in the snow and sprinted toward Vivian. He violently wrapped his arms around both his wife and his freezing son, burying his face in Vivian's burgundy coat.

"I'm so sorry," Greg wept quietly, kissing Toby's cold forehead. "I'm so incredibly sorry I left you alone with her. I'll never let anyone touch him again."
