Chapter 10 - The True Owner

Julian fell to his knees on the hard concrete, weeping hysterically as the reality of his absolute ruin finally crushed him.

Clara didn't wait for him to leave. She turned her back completely on the crying, pathetic man in the tan blazer. She gently grabbed the handles of her children's rolling backpacks, holding her head high.

She walked past the weeping fraud and gracefully stepped up onto her large brick porch. She unlocked her heavy mahogany front door, ushering Liam and Maya safely inside to the warmth and security of their true home.

The door closed with a heavy, final click, locking the toxic parasite outside forever.

In the months that followed, Julian was forced to move into a tiny, rundown apartment. His tech startup completely collapsed without Clara's secret financial backing, leaving him drowning in massive debt. Chloe never spoke to him again, quickly moving on to another wealthy target.

Clara finalized her divorce flawlessly. Her inherited estate and trust fund remained completely untouched.

A year later, Clara stood in the beautiful, sunlit kitchen of her massive brick home. She wasn't crying. She wore a sharp, elegant blouse, watching Liam and Maya play happily in the lush backyard. She smiled brightly, knowing that true power isn't found in a man's fake promises—it is found in knowing your own worth, holding the deed to your own life, and having the courage to lock the front door.

Do you think getting evicted with nothing was enough justice for Julian, or did the cruel husband deserve a harsher punishment for trying to throw his own children out on the street?
