Chapter 9 - The Final Eviction

Julian watched his mistress disappear down the street. His entire world had violently collapsed into dust in less than three minutes.

He slowly turned back to look at Clara. The arrogant, cold husband was completely gone, replaced by a desperate, cornered coward.

"Clara, please," Julian begged pathetically, tears of pure terror finally welling in his eyes. "I made a mistake. Chloe manipulated me. I love you. We have a family together. Please don't do this."

Clara stood tall in her green knit sweater. She held Maya securely in her arms and rested a comforting, protective hand on Liam’s head. She looked at the man who had just kicked her open suitcases toward the street. She felt absolutely zero human empathy for the monster crying in front of her.

An extreme, cinematic close-up captured Clara looking dead into her cheating husband's eyes. She radiated complete triumph.

"My aunt left it to me," Clara whispered, her voice icy, unwavering, and lethal.

She pointed a single, steady finger at the open suitcases scattered across the driveway.
