"Assault!" Richard shrieked, looking back at the police officers. "Arrest him! He just assaulted a State Senator!"

The police officers didn't move. They were surrounded by a dozen of Lorenzo’s heavily armed, silent security men holding automatic rifles. The cops knew exactly who really ran the city.

Lorenzo violently shoved Richard backward. The politician stumbled and fell onto the marble floor.

In the chaos, little Sofia let out a terrified scream. The brown teddy bear slipped from her small hands and tumbled down the grand staircase, landing right next to Richard's expensive shoes.

Richard, humiliated and blinded by his own rage, viciously kicked the child's teddy bear.

The seam of the old stuffed animal ripped open. Fluff spilled out onto the pristine marble floor.

Sofia began to cry hysterically, reaching out for her broken toy. Clara held her back, sobbing, completely paralyzed by fear.

Lorenzo’s dark eyes locked onto the ripped teddy bear. The anger simmering inside him reached a boiling point. But as he looked closer, his sharp eyes noticed something metallic catching the light of the chandelier.

Sticking out of the torn stuffing inside the bear was a small, black USB flash drive.

Lorenzo slowly walked over. He crouched down and pulled the flash drive from the stuffing.

Richard’s face instantly drained of all color. The arrogant, furious politician suddenly looked like he had seen a ghost. His eyes went wide with pure, unadulterated panic.

"Give that back to me!" Richard yelled, his voice cracking as he lunged forward.

Lorenzo easily side-stepped the clumsy politician. He held the small flash drive up to the light.
