Chapter 4 - The Arrogant Intruder

Forty-five minutes later, the polished, quiet atmosphere of the Moretti Holdings lobby was violently disrupted.
Greg stormed through the revolving glass doors. He was in his early thirties, wearing a cheap, poorly fitted suit, reeking of stale alcohol and arrogant desperation. He carried a wrinkled manila folder containing the property transfer deeds he planned to force Emma to sign.
He aggressively approached the sleek marble front desk, fully prepared to scream and bully his way past the corporate receptionists.
"I'm going up to the executive floor to see my wife, Emma Vance," Greg demanded loudly, slamming his hand on the marble. "Don't even try to stop me."
The massive, heavily muscular security guards standing in the lobby didn't tackle him. They didn't even ask for his ID. Following Adrian’s strict, silent orders over their earpieces, the guards simply stepped aside and granted the abusive husband unrestricted access to the private VIP elevator.
Greg smirked, incredibly proud of himself. He genuinely believed his loud, aggressive alpha-male persona had successfully intimidated the building’s corporate security team.
He rode the elevator to the top floor, stepping out onto the pristine stone floors of the executive wing. He immediately spotted Emma sitting at her desk inside her transparent glass office.

Greg marched down the hallway, completely ignoring the luxurious surroundings, his eyes locked onto his terrified wife like a predator hunting wounded prey.
👉 Greg aggressively shoved open the glass door of Emma's office, having absolutely no idea he was walking blindly into a slaughterhouse.
