Chapter 6 - The Interruption

"I highly suggest you lower your hand," a deep, booming voice echoed through the office.

Greg froze mid-swing. He aggressively turned his head, fully prepared to scream at whatever pathetic mid-level HR manager had dared to interrupt his domestic dispute.

Standing in the doorway was Adrian Moretti.

Adrian hadn't just opened the door; he had completely eclipsed it. His towering, heavily muscular frame blocked the only exit. He was still wearing his tailored charcoal suit trousers and black shirt, but he had removed his jacket.

Standing directly behind him in the corridor were four massive, terrifyingly stoic security men.

"Who the hell are you?" Greg demanded, trying to puff up his chest and project dominance. "This is a private family matter! Back off, suit, before I sue this entire company for harassment!"

Adrian didn't blink. He took a slow, deliberate step into the glass office, his polished leather shoes clicking softly against the floor. He exuded an aura of absolute, crushing authority that made the air in the room suddenly feel ten degrees colder.

"You are standing in my building," Adrian stated calmly, his dark eyes locked onto Greg with lethal precision. "You are screaming at my employee. And you just raised your hand to a woman under my protection."

Greg scoffed, completely blinded by his own toxic arrogance. "Your protection? She's my property! I'm her husband!"

👉 Greg took an aggressive step toward the billionaire CEO, entirely oblivious to the fact that he was barking at the devil.
