Chapter 9 - The Ultimate Transfer

"Those are expedited divorce papers, combined with a total asset forfeiture agreement," Adrian stated coldly, looking down at the weeping man on his floor. "You are going to sign over your car, your savings, and your complete legal rights to Emma. You walk away with absolutely nothing."
"But... but that won't cover the two hundred thousand!" Greg panicked, tears streaming down his face as he realized he was signing away his entire life.
"No, it won't," Adrian smiled. It was a chilling, apex-predator smile that promised nothing but pain. "You are going to work off the remaining balance of your debt, Gregory. My syndicate owns a shipping yard on the docks. You are going to load cargo containers by hand for the next fifteen years. If you miss a single shift, my men will put you in one of those containers and drop it into the lake."
Greg let out a horrific, high-pitched shriek of pure, apocalyptic terror.
He grabbed the black pen with trembling hands, violently scribbling his signature across every single page, frantically signing away his marriage and his freedom to avoid an immediate execution.
"Take him to the docks," Adrian commanded his enforcers without raising his voice.
