Chapter 8 - The Bought Debt

Greg’s hands shook violently as he opened the thick piece of parchment.

It wasn't a corporate memo. It was a highly detailed, underground ledger.

"You owe two hundred thousand dollars to the Southside sports books," Adrian explained clinically, his voice entirely devoid of human mercy. "You were completely terrified that the bookies were going to break your legs tonight. You were right to be afraid."

Greg swallowed hard, cold sweat pouring down his pale face.

"But you don't owe the Southside bookies anymore, Greg," Adrian whispered softly, his piercing dark eyes flashing with absolute, demonic dominance. "Because at 9:00 AM this morning, I bought your entire debt. You don't owe the street. You owe me."

Emma stood frozen against her desk, watching the impossible scene unfold. Her abusive, arrogant husband—the man who had terrorized her for three years—was physically shrinking in the presence of true, absolute power.

"Mr. Moretti, please!" Greg wailed hysterically, completely abandoning his tough-guy facade. He dropped to his knees on the polished stone floor, begging like a pathetic coward. "I'll pay you back! I swear! Just let me sell her house!"

"You aren't selling anything," Adrian corrected ruthlessly.

Adrian snapped his fingers. One of the massive security men stepped forward, placing a sleek black pen onto the desk right next to a new stack of legal documents.

👉 Adrian forced Greg to read the new contract, and the abuser realized he was about to lose absolutely everything.
