Chapter 5 - The South Port Crisis

Graham stood up straight, highly irritated by the interruption.

"Not now, Marcus," Graham hissed, glaring at his security chief. "I am dealing with a family emergency."

"Sir, you don't understand," Marcus stammered, completely dropping his professional composure. "The federal authorities just raided the South Port. They seized four of your international shipping containers. The entire board of directors is panicking. They need you down there right now, or they are going to freeze your executive assets."

Graham stopped breathing. The air in his lungs violently turned to absolute ice.

The South Port was the absolute crown jewel of his billion-dollar logistics empire. It was also where he hid the highly illegal, untaxed luxury imports that funded his lavish, arrogant lifestyle and his expensive affairs. If the feds opened those containers, he was going to federal prison.

Graham looked wildly at Audrey, and then back to Marcus.

"Get the car," Graham barked, his face flushing crimson with pure, unadulterated panic.

He turned back to Audrey, frantically buttoning his charcoal overcoat. "I have to go. I'll send my assistant to deal with the hospital billing. Do not speak to anyone until I get back."

Without a single glance back at his fragile newborn son in the incubator, the arrogant billionaire sprinted out of the NICU, desperate to save his money.
