Chapter 2 - The Public Execution

The cinematic realism of the suffocating, paralyzing silence gripped the massive corporate lobby. The wealthy executives and employees in elegant business suits standing in the background completely froze, their coffee cups hovering in mid-air as they watched the CEO's wife casually drop a nuclear bomb.
Before the receptionist could even process the horrific, scandalous information, heavy, aggressive footsteps echoed across the black marble floor.
Vincent, Claire’s thirty-eight-year-old billionaire husband, stormed into the lobby. He was tall, heavily muscular, and devastatingly handsome, with thick curly dark hair and a sharply trimmed dark beard. He wore an immaculate black suit with a black dress shirt and a black silk tie, a luxury automatic wristwatch gleaming on his arm.
Trailing nervously right behind him was Sophia, his personal assistant. Sophia was in her early thirties, with beautiful blonde hair styled in loose waves, wearing a light blue silk blouse and a dark pencil skirt. She clutched a black corporate folder to her chest, her face entirely pale, visibly shocked to see the CEO’s wife standing in the building.
"Claire!" Vincent barked angrily, completely abandoning his professional composure. He marched directly up to his wife, his dark eyes flashing with toxic, arrogant rage. "What are you doing here?"
A tight close-up captured Vincent’s furious, intimidating glare. He expected his wife to cower, to burst into tears, and to run away in shame.
But Claire didn't flinch. She adjusted the sleeping newborn in her arms and looked at him with absolute, titanium composure.
"Your father and grandfather already know," Claire stated quietly.
Vincent’s angry expression instantly vanished. The blood violently drained from his handsome face, replaced by sheer, unadulterated terror. His jaw literally unhinged as his breathing stopped.
Claire didn't give him a single second to recover. She glanced over his broad shoulder, looking directly at the trembling blonde assistant hiding behind him.

"And don't forget to bring her," Claire added, her voice a calm, sharp, and lethal blade.
👉 Vincent physically staggered backward, entirely unaware of the devastating, airtight evidence his wife was holding in her beige handbag.
