Chapter 7 - The Arrest

Three massive, heavily armored private security SUVs tore up the private driveway, completely ignoring the landscaping. Dozens of federal agents and bank repossessors poured out, marching directly up the stone steps and through the open front doors.

"Victor Vance," the lead federal agent barked loudly, resting his hand firmly on his utility belt. "You are under arrest for massive corporate fraud, embezzlement, and failure to pay federal loans."

Victor let out an apocalyptic shriek of pure terror.

"No! Wait! My wife set me up!" Victor thrashed wildly as two massive officers forcefully grabbed his arms, twisting them painfully behind his back.

"Your wife legally surrendered her shares an hour ago," the agent replied coldly, snapping heavy steel handcuffs around Victor’s wrists. "This property is officially seized by the bank. Everyone needs to vacate the premises immediately."

Elise screamed in pure horror as the federal agents began aggressively seizing the expensive art off the walls. She looked at Victor, realizing the man she had slept with for money was now completely, utterly destitute and headed for a federal penitentiary.

In a move of absolute, sickening desperation, Elise violently shoved Victor away and sprinted toward the door, trying to save her own expensive red dress and luggage.

"Stop her!" Victor screamed, completely betrayed by the mistress he had destroyed his marriage for.
