Chapter 5 - The Armor of Vengeance

Rachel didn't cancel the wedding. She didn't even call Carter.
She picked up her phone and dialed her lead corporate attorney. She ordered him to print the exact prenuptial amendment Carter wanted, place it in a black legal folder, and bring it directly to the hotel lobby.
When the bridal stylist arrived, Rachel refused a wig.
She sat in the chair with her perfectly bald head, demanding flawless, sharp, incredibly bold makeup. She stepped into her elegant white strapless ballgown not as a broken victim, but as an absolute warrior putting on her armor.
She looked at her reflection. She looked terrifying, beautiful, and completely untouchable.
Now, back in the present moment, Rachel walked slowly down the white rose-lined aisle.
The guests were whispering frantically. But Rachel kept her slow, steady eye movements locked directly on the man kneeling on the floor at the altar.
Carter was sweating profusely, his handsome face twisted in absolute horror. This wasn't the hysterical, weeping woman he had planned to manipulate. This was a confident, commanding billionaire holding a black folder.
