Chapter 7 - The Amendment Revealed

Rachel didn't look at Diane. She kept her cold, piercing gaze locked entirely on Carter.
With slow, elegant precision, Rachel flipped open the black legal folder she had carried down the aisle.
Carter stared up at the crisp white papers inside. His face turned completely pale as he recognized the thick legal print. It was the exact prenuptial amendment he had desperately tried to force her to sign.
"You wanted this so badly, Carter," Rachel stated clinically, ensuring her voice carried to the stunned guests. "You thought if you broke my spirit, if you made me feel ugly and unlovable, I would just blindly sign away half of my fifteen-million-dollar company to buy your loyalty."
The crowd erupted into shocked, horrified gasps.
The cinematic realism of the absolute, crushing betrayal paralyzed everyone in the room.
Carter’s eyes darted around wildly. The secret was out. Every single investor, friend, and family member now knew he was a manipulative, abusive fraud.
"Rachel, please, keep your voice down," Carter hissed desperately, trying to stand up. "We can talk about this in private!"
"Kneel," Rachel commanded softly.
