Chapter 1 - The Stormy Interrogation

The dark luxury study was a cinematic masterpiece of suffocating tension. Outside the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, a violent thunderstorm raged, casting jagged flashes of lightning across the room. Declan, a towering man in his thirties wearing a dark, expensive suit and an unbuttoned white shirt, leaned aggressively over his massive mahogany desk. A jagged, pale scar on his chin twisted as his face contoured into a mask of pure, cold fury.
Resting on the desk beneath his clenched fists was a torn wedding photograph—a symbol of the marriage he had just violently shattered.
Sitting directly across from him was his wife, Nora. The thirty-something woman wore a cream raincoat, completely soaked from the storm. Her wet blonde hair clung to her pale cheeks, but she didn't look like a terrified victim. She sat perfectly composed, her natural micro-expressions radiating an absolute, chilling calm. In her right hand, she held a single, sleek black USB drive.
Watching closely from the deep shadows of the study was Warren, Declan’s sixty-year-old senior advisor. The silver-haired man in a dark suit stood like a silent executioner, waiting for the billionaire husband to drop the guillotine.
"You lied to me for seven weeks," Declan hissed, his deep voice slicing through the thunder.
Nora met his furious gaze unflinchingly, holding up the USB drive. "Yes."
Declan violently slammed his hand onto the desk, rattling the expensive crystal glasses. "You expect me to accept that?"

Nora remained perfectly composed. "I expect you to ask the right question."
👉 Declan’s arrogant smirk returned, entirely unaware that the wet, shivering woman in front of him was about to execute a flawless multi-million-dollar trap.
