Chapter 9 - The Freezing Snowstorm

"You and your guests are actively trespassing on private corporate property," the lead officer announced loudly, his voice echoing over the weeping family. "You have exactly two minutes to vacate the premises before you are legally arrested."
"Get your filthy hands off me!" Ryan shrieked, his tropical vacation shirt tearing slightly as he desperately tried to fight the massive officers. "This is my house! I live here!"
"Not anymore, sir," the officer replied coldly, forcefully hauling Ryan toward the front door.
Teresa and Lauren screamed and cried in total, undeniable disgrace. They frantically grabbed their own luxury suitcases, entirely humiliated as they were aggressively escorted out of the warm, festive kitchen.
They were forcefully shoved out the front door and thrown directly into the freezing Ohio snowstorm.
The bright tropical vacation shirt completely failed to protect Ryan from the brutal, biting winter wind. He stood shivering violently in the heavy snow, begging for his heavy coat, but the officers slammed the heavy front doors shut, completely locking them out. His multi-million-dollar illusion was permanently erased in a single morning.
The chaotic, toxic energy was entirely dragged out of the townhouse, plunging the kitchen back into a profound, heavy peace.
Patricia stood completely still in her cream cardigan, meeting the lead officer's eyes across the kitchen table beneath the glowing Christmas lights.
