Chapter 7 - The Final Bill

Evelyn watched her son weep on the floor. She felt profound, heavy disappointment, but absolutely zero pity.

She slowly picked up the leather folder and closed it. She didn't sign the authorization form.

"I am not paying this bill, Grant," Evelyn announced flawlessly, completely dominating the room.

"Mom, please!" Grant wailed hysterically, looking up at her with sheer panic. "My corporate accounts are overdrawn! If I don't pay this, the hotel will call the police for theft of services! I'll be arrested!"

"Then you should have thought about that before you ordered the Dom Pérignon with your mistress," Evelyn replied coldly, entirely devoid of mercy.

Evelyn turned to Sophie, her expression softening into profound, genuine respect. "Sophie, my driver is waiting downstairs. He will take you and the children anywhere you want to go. My legal team will handle your divorce, completely free of charge. I will make sure you get absolutely everything."

Sophie wept tears of pure gratitude, nodding silently before turning her back on her ruined husband and walking out of the dining room.

Evelyn picked up her small leather purse.

"And Grant?" Evelyn whispered, stopping right next to him. "You are officially removed from the family trust. Happy birthday to me."

👉 Evelyn walked out of the Bellweather Hotel, completely leaving the trash behind to pay his own debts.
