Olivia refused to speak for six hours.
Then she asked for a deal.
She was not merely Julian’s mistress.
She was a corporate attorney specializing in international asset transfers.
Emma recognized her name after Detective Cole showed her a business card.
Olivia Grant had attended Emma and Julian’s anniversary party two years earlier.
Julian introduced her as outside counsel.
Emma remembered Olivia praising the Whitmore properties.
She had called them “remarkably liquid.”
At the time, it sounded like professional language.
Now it sounded like appraisal.
Olivia claimed Julian told her the marriage was ending.

Cole asked why Olivia traveled under a ticket booked by an offshore company.

The officers showed her the second passport.

He intended to leave with the money.

When Cole informed her that the one-way Geneva ticket was issued only in the name Jonathan Vale, Olivia stopped protecting him.
She admitted preparing the property transfers.
She admitted sleeping with him.
She admitted helping open accounts in Luxembourg, Switzerland, and the Cayman Islands.
But she denied forging Emma’s signature.
Julian gave her authenticated digital certificates.
The certificates were real.
Emma’s signature credentials had been used.
