The legal resolution took nearly a year.
Helena was removed as trustee immediately.
Independent administrators took over.
Marina received the remaining held distributions plus interest calculated under the trust terms.
The unsupported expenses became part of a restitution settlement.
Helena sold jewelry and a small investment property to cover much of it.
No instant poverty.
No dramatic collapse of an empire.
But she lost something she valued more than money.
Authority.
She no longer controlled family accounts.
Could not approve staff.
Could not access the warehouse archives.
Could not move money with a phone call.
And Damiano removed her from the family home.
Not temporarily.
Permanently.
Supervised visits were possible later if Marina agreed.
For several months she did not.
That was her right.
Boundaries did not require revenge.
