Chapter 6 - The Airport Confrontation

"Don't call the police!" Nathan begged desperately, his voice cracking with sheer panic. "Mom, please! Don't let them take her to child services! I'm getting on the next flight! I'm coming home right now!"

Evelyn didn't negotiate. "You have exactly twelve hours. Or I am filing for emergency custody myself."

She ended the call with a sharp click.

Back in Hawaii, Nathan didn't scream at his wife in the lobby. The absolute, terrifying restraint he showed was chilling. He calmly walked over to Andrea, grabbed her by the arm, and violently dragged her out of the resort and straight into a waiting taxi.

"What are you doing?!" Andrea shrieked, completely dropping her mimosa. "We have a dinner reservation!"

"We're going to the airport," Nathan hissed, his voice trembling with demonic, unapologetic wrath. "My mother is at the house. She found Molly."

Andrea froze, the color violently draining from her perfectly contoured face. She realized her entire, highly calculated lie had just been completely annihilated.

"Nathan, wait! I can explain!" Andrea stammered pathetically, sweating profusely in her designer resort wear. "She's twelve! She's old enough to stay home! I just wanted a romantic trip for us!"

"You abandoned my daughter," Nathan whispered lethally, completely disgusted by the monster sitting next to him. "When we land in Chicago, you aren't coming back to my house. You are packing a single bag and getting out of my life forever."
