Chapter 10 - The True Family

The bright, beautiful sunshine poured through the kitchen windows, illuminating a house finally filled with absolute peace.

Molly wasn't wearing a white cardigan or a floral dress. She was wearing a relaxed, comfortable soccer uniform, radiating absolute health, power, and undeniable joy. She wasn't holding a jar of peanut butter.

She was sitting at the heavy wooden dining table, laughing loudly as she ate a massive, beautiful breakfast.

Standing at the stove was Nathan, wearing a casual t-shirt, completely focused on making pancakes for his daughter.

And sitting right next to Molly, drinking a cup of coffee, was Evelyn. The fierce grandmother smiled warmly, watching her son finally step up to be the father he was supposed to be.

Nathan set a plate of hot pancakes in front of his daughter, kissing the top of her head with profound, unshakeable love. The nightmare was completely over, proving that true family isn't built on ignoring the toxic behavior of a spouse—it is found in having the incredible, fearless courage to completely purge the monsters from your home to protect the innocent.

Do you think getting immediately divorced and thrown out of the house was enough justice for Andrea, or did the cruel stepmother deserve to be arrested for child abandonment?
