Chapter 7 - The Private Hangar

The massive black SUV violently swerved onto the private airstrip, slamming to a halt inside a dark, highly secure aviation hangar.
The heavy electronic doors of the hangar slid shut, trapping the vehicle inside.
Isabella hyperventilated. The arrogant, untouchable socialite completely vanished, replaced by a feral, cornered coward. She realized her entire assassination plot had been discovered. Lorenzo knew everything.
The doors of the SUV were violently yanked open.
Four massive, heavily armed syndicate enforcers dragged the screaming, thrashing woman out of the leather seats. Her pristine white evening gown dragged across the dirty concrete floor of the hangar.
"Lorenzo!" Isabella wailed pathetically, kicking her expensive heels as they hauled her toward the back of the hangar. "I'll give you their names! I'll tell you everything! Have mercy!"
Lorenzo wasn't there. He didn't need to be.
The lead enforcer pulled out a heavy burner phone and held it up to Isabella’s ear.
"You sold my life for a pearl necklace, Isabella," Lorenzo’s cold, merciless voice echoed through the speaker. "You belong to the cartel now. And I just sent them your exact coordinates."

Isabella let out a horrific, blood-curdling scream of pure despair. The enforcers tied her to a steel chair, leaving her entirely alone in the dark hangar to face the brutal, lethal wrath of the cartel she had tried to betray.
