Chapter 9 - The Debt Repaid
Anna gasped, her eyes going wide with absolute, paralyzing shock as she looked at the paper.
It was a fully notarized deed to a massive, beautiful estate in the safest, most secure gated community in the state. And it was entirely in her name.
"I don't... I don't understand," Anna stammered, tears of pure disbelief welling in her eyes. "I am just a gardener."
"You are the mother of the bravest girl I have ever met," Lorenzo corrected flawlessly. "Your daughter saved my empire. In return, I am ensuring she never has to worry about money, safety, or her future ever again."
Lorenzo didn't just give them a house. He handed Anna a black titanium bank card, connected to a fully funded, multi-million-dollar trust account specifically established for Sophie’s education and their living expenses.
"You are completely protected by my organization," Lorenzo promised quietly, a fierce, unbreakable vow. "Nobody will ever touch you."
Anna burst into tears of overwhelming joy, clutching the deed to her chest. She had spent her entire life struggling in poverty, terrified of the dangerous world around her. Now, she was completely, permanently secure.
Lorenzo smiled warmly at little Sophie.
