Chapter 8 - The Confrontation

The Bride stood completely frozen at the altar. Her perfectly styled blonde hair and her expensive pearl headband looked utterly ridiculous compared to the absolute, sheer terror completely radiating from her stiff, unnatural face.

She realized her massive, multi-million-dollar, three-month-long deception had just been completely, entirely obliterated by an eight-year-old child with an axe.

"David, she's lying! That's an impostor! They're trying to ruin our wedding!" the Bride shrieked hysterically, completely abandoning her elegant, sophisticated composure as she desperately tried to manipulate the stunned groom one last, pathetic time.

But David didn't even look at her. He was completely, hopelessly locked onto the weeping eyes of his true wife trapped inside the wall.

Lily stepped entirely away from the broken wood.

Moving with an incredibly slow, deliberate, and deeply terrifying purpose that was entirely unnatural for an eight-year-old child, Lily walked straight toward the hysterical woman in the white wedding dress.

There was absolutely no dialogue. The entire congregation held their breath, completely terrified of what the little girl was going to do.

The Bride took a nervous step backward, her expensive high heels clicking against the stone floor, completely terrified of the fierce, unyielding determination burning in the tiny child's eyes. She raised her hands defensively, entirely expecting the little girl to hit her.

But Lily didn't throw a punch. She didn't scream insults.
