Chapter 3 - The Waltz of Truth

The heavy, suffocating silence in the luxurious ballroom was broken by the sharp, authoritative nod Lena gave to the orchestra conductor.

Recognizing the intense, commanding look in her eyes, the conductor nervously raised his baton. The grand orchestra began to play a sweeping, incredibly complex traditional Viennese waltz.

The wealthy guests watched in stunned, absolute silence.

Lena didn't just dance. She glided across the polished marble floor with breathtaking, flawless cinematic grace. Even in a simple pink maid’s dress, she moved with the terrifying, untouchable elegance of a royal queen commanding her court. Her chin was raised, her dark eyes locked dead onto Alexander.

Alexander’s arrogant smirk completely vanished. The blood slowly began to drain from his handsome face.

This wasn't just a random dance. It was the Sterling Waltz—a highly specific, intricate routine that Lena’s late father had famously danced at every single corporate gala for thirty years. It was a dance he had only ever taught to his daughter.

Whispers rapidly broke out among the older, elite guests in the crowd. They recognized the footwork. They recognized the exact, delicate tilt of her head.

"Is that... Eleanora?" an older board member whispered loudly, his eyes widening in sheer disbelief. "I thought she moved to Europe!"

The blonde girlfriend’s cruel smile shattered. She gripped Alexander’s arm, suddenly realizing the crowd was no longer laughing at the maid; they were entirely mesmerized by her.
