Chapter 7 - The Embezzlement Ledgers
The absolute, crushing reality of the situation completely paralyzed the luxurious ballroom.
"In the six months since you illegally seized my father's company," Lena explained, her voice echoing perfectly through the massive space, "you have actively embezzled over eighty million dollars from the corporate pension funds, transferring the money into anonymous shell companies in the Cayman Islands."
The blonde girlfriend let out a high-pitched, horrific gasp. She backed away from Alexander as if he were suddenly on fire. She had only dated him for the billions; the absolute second she heard the word 'embezzlement,' she knew the luxury lifestyle was permanently over.
"You're lying!" Alexander wailed, tears of pure, unadulterated terror streaming down his face. He looked frantically at his security team. "What are you waiting for?! I pay your salaries! Grab her and throw her out the window!"
The four muscular security guards continued to step forward.
Alexander smiled a pathetic, desperate smile, believing his paid muscle was about to silence the whistleblower and save his empire. He fully expected them to tackle Lena to the floor and drag her away.
But the guards didn't touch her.

Instead, they walked directly past the kneeling, weeping billionaire. The four massive men turned around and formed an impenetrable, titanium wall of protection directly in front of Lena, shielding her completely from Alexander.
