Chapter 1 - The Morning Humiliation

The modern American corporate plaza was bustling with the frantic, high-stakes energy of a bright Monday morning. Towering above the concrete was a massive, sleek glass building bearing the silver letters: RIVERTON TECHNOLOGIES.

Hundreds of employees were rushing inside, desperate to clock in. But right near the main entrance, a loud, cruel, and entirely unprovoked humiliation was stopping people in their tracks.

Elias, a brilliant software engineer in his thirties, stood completely still on the sunlit pavement. He was a handsome man with a subtle stubble, wearing a casual grey button-down shirt with rolled-up sleeves and dark jeans. Slung over his shoulder was a worn black backpack, and his hands rested calmly on the handlebars of his black commuter bicycle.

Surrounding him were three of the most ruthless, wealthy executives in the entire company.

Greg, a thirty-something corporate predator wearing a sharp navy blue suit and a silk blue tie, pointed a manicured finger directly at the engineer’s bicycle.

"Still riding a bike to work?" Greg mocked loudly, his arrogant voice carrying across the plaza, ensuring every passing junior employee could hear him.
