Chapter 3 - The Public Mockery

Chloe let out a sharp, hysterical, mocking laugh right in Elias’s face.

"Can't afford a real car on your salary, Elias?" Chloe sneered, her voice dripping with absolute condescension. "Or did the bank repossess your little sedan?"

Standing right beside her, Mark—the third executive in a tailored dark suit—smiled with immense, toxic smugness. He didn't even need to speak; his sneering presence was enough to validate the horrific bullying.

Greg pointed at the bicycle again, shaking his head in fake pity. "It's honestly embarrassing to have someone representing Riverton Technologies pedaling up to the front doors like a paperboy. You're dragging down the aesthetic of the entire plaza."

The junior employees walking past quickly looked away, terrified of making eye contact with the ruthless management team. They knew that defending Elias would mean instant termination.

But an extreme, cinematic close-up captured Elias’s face.

He didn't look down at his shoes. He didn't blush with profound embarrassment. His hands didn't tremble on the handlebars of his black bicycle.
