Chapter 8 - The Departure

A medium cinematic shot captured the incredible, satisfying contrast between the characters.
Elias looked at Greg in his navy suit, Chloe in her cream blazer, and Mark with his smug grin. He didn't pull his phone back out to show them the eighty-eight million dollars. He didn't scream that he was rich. He didn't demand an apology.
He gave the clueless, laughing corporate bullies a small, deeply pitying smile.
He realized they were trapped in a miserable, toxic rat race, fighting over meaningless corporate titles, while he had just secured absolute, generational freedom.
"Have a good day at the office," Elias said. His voice was incredibly polite, steady, and entirely unbothered.
Elias gripped the handlebars of his black bicycle. He smoothly mounted the bike, pushed off the pavement, and casually rode away.
The bright morning sun cast a cinematic, golden glow over his grey shirt as he pedaled effortlessly down the street, leaving the massive glass building and the toxic executives entirely behind him. He wasn't riding to another job. He was riding into the rest of his life.
Greg frowned, his arrogant smirk faltering slightly as he watched Elias disappear down the block.
