Chapter 4 - The Boss's Verdict

A tight close-up focused entirely on Bishop, the massive Golden Retriever.
The highly trained, fiercely protective guard dog didn't move a single muscle. He kept his nose pressed firmly against the wall, occasionally darting his eyes sideways, looking entirely, pathetically guilty for shredding the plush rabbit.
The heavy, suffocating silence in the grand foyer was broken by a sound absolutely no one in the criminal syndicate had heard in years.
Vincent lowered the shredded rabbit and let out a deep, rumbling, entirely genuine laugh.
The sound echoed across the grand marble foyer, completely disarming the terrifying atmosphere. He wasn't angry. He was profoundly, completely amused by the fact that a tiny three-year-old girl in a pink floral dress had successfully bullied his one-hundred-pound attack dog into absolute submission.
Vincent looked at Lucy, his dark eyes sparkling with a rare, undeniable warmth.
"Five minutes," Vincent announced, his voice smooth and deeply amused. "I think a five-minute timeout is a fair sentence for murder."
Lucy nodded with absolute, serious satisfaction, crossing her arms again. "Five minutes," she agreed firmly.

An extreme close-up captured Vincent slowly turning his head to look up at Nora. The young maid was still shaking violently, her hands glued to her mouth, completely paralyzed by the bizarre, impossible interaction unfolding in front of her. She was waiting for the laugh to end and the firing to begin.
👉 Vincent’s cold eyes completely softened, and he delivered a sentence that brought the mother to tears.
